History in Central Oregon: Since 1994, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon has been providing one-to-one mentoring for youth. Big Brothers Big Sisters, a program of J Bar J Youth Services, is the oldest and largest one-to-one mentoring program in Central Oregon to provide careful screening, training, matching, support and supervision of caring mentors with youth. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon currently has 7 staff members and 3 offices serving Deschutes, Jefferson and Crook Counties.
History: Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is the premier mentoring organization in the U.S., with more than 450 agencies in all 50 states. The organization has served millions of children since 1904, primarily through One-to-One, professionally supported relationships with caring adult volunteers.
